The Windsor Spitfires Foundation was proud to accept a $10,000 cheque from the St. Clair College Foundation prior to Saturday night’s Spitfires-Steelheads game at the WFCU Centre.

Each year, the St. Clair College Foundation chooses a charity or organization with whom to share half of the proceeds from their annual golf tournament, held the first Monday in June at Sutton Creek Golf Club. This year, the Windsor Spitfires Foundation was chosen and Spitfires Foundation executive director, Shannon Ricker, graciously accepted the donation presented by St. Clair College President, Dr. John Strasser and Vice-president of St. Clair College Community Relations, John Fairley.

Strasser says this year's event was a huge success.

“We started this charity golf tournament about twelve years ago and we move forward every year with a different charity. For the past twelve years, it’s been a real hit, because the number, as we saw tonight, was $10,000, and that helps a lot of charities.”

The Windsor Spitfires Foundation would like to thank the St. Clair College Foundation for their continued generosity.
